Is this behind the "Dunarea" stadium next to the port?
If yes, can you post some pictures of it. And why don't you use it anymore?

Yes, that it's a picture from summer 2005, when Dunarea promoted after 25 years, again, in Second Legue;
I made that picture and put it on www.romaniansoccer.ro
I found that a lot of other sites take this picture and don't mentionate the source...

Dunarea Giurgiu play all it's home matches on that stadium, called "Dunarea Port" since his foundation until in the season 2005/2006, when they use the actual stadium.
The reasons for this change was a lot:
1) "Marin Anastasovici" (or Olimpia) it is bigger;
2) the team who played on it, Olimpia Giurgiu, ceased to exist many years ago;
3) the area for a sportiv complex was bigger that the one from Port;
4) the distance, was another reason; Dunarea Port (who was recently named "Gogu Garlea" - name of a great Dunarea trainer) is located far away from town, "Olimpia" is not so far away.

On Dunarea Port play matches the youth of Dunarea Giurgiu, and, when the ground of Marin Anastasovici stadium it is protected, Dunarea Giurgiu play some friendly matches or training sesions.

Dunarea Port is a great place for play football because he have flooding-lights, and it is made just for football, without athletic-space. I know, there will be a lot of changes, but I don't know when will be ready.

About pictures... I hope to go in a day to make some pics, and I will post them.

About the pictures between Dunarea and Dunav I don't forget, I will send you soon, I'm sorry, because my time it is such a mess.

It is a big advantage to have a stadium with floodlights, we don't have such in Ruse, not yet, can you imagine?

So there are plans to expand the Dunarea port stadium? What is the capacity at the moment?

One other reason for Marin Anastasovici is the nearness to the bridge, that make us easier to achieve it. ;-)
